The Bishop of Masaka Diocese, Rt. Rev. Serverus Jjumba, has issued an emotional statement regarding the shocking disappearance of Rev.Fr.Desdedit Ssekabira, who is alleged to have been abducted by people dressed in military uniform and whisked away in a drone earlier this month.
Fr. Ssekabira has been serving at Bumangi Parish in Kalangala District.
According to Bishop Jjumba, several efforts have been made to trace the missing priest, but all attempts have so far ended in dead ends. With hope fading and questions mounting, the Bishop has now turned to faith.
He has called upon fellow priests and Christians to pray the Rosary and special prayers, asking God to intervene and grant that Fr. Ssekabira returns safely.
“This is a painful and worrying moment for the Church,” the Bishop noted, urging believers not to lose hope as they continue praying for a miracle.
