Salt TV presenter Jenifer Namutebi Nakangubi alias Full Figure, has bowed to pressure and publicly apologized to Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) Executive Director Hon. Nyombi Thembo for using inappropriate language during her morning show Omusunsuzi.
The apology followed a meeting held on Tuesday at the UCC headquarters in Bugolobi, Kampala, attended by officials from UCC and senior management from Salt Media.

The meeting came after UCC suspended the Omusunsuzi program for violating broadcasting standards mainly over the use of vulgar language during a time slot meant for family viewing.
During the meeting, Hon. Nyombi Thembo emphasized the need for professionalism and responsible communication on air, especially during hours when children are likely to be watching or listening. He reminded broadcasters that they must promote respect, decency, and educational value in their programs.
Nyombi described the talks with Salt Media as “constructive,” and praised the station’s management for showing a positive attitude and willingness to improve.
Full Figure, who attended the meeting in person, expressed deep regret for her behavior and apologized to UCC, her fans, and the general public. She admitted that her comments were out of line and promised to be more careful in future shows.

She also revealed that she plans to undergo professional media training to polish her communication and presentation skills so that Omusunsuzi can meet the national broadcasting standards and remain a family-friendly and informative show.
Hon. Nyombi commended her for taking responsibility and described the meeting as “especially rewarding.” He assured UCC’s support for her training and encouraged her to keep improving as a media professional.
Meanwhile, Salt Media management also pledged to organize editorial and ethical training for all its presenters to improve professionalism and promote responsible journalism across all platforms.
UCC appreciated the station’s cooperation, noting that teamwork between regulators and broadcasters is key to maintaining high standards in the media industry.
In conclusion, Hon. Nyombi praised Full Figure and Salt Media for choosing dialogue over confrontation, saying:
“Our goal as a Commission is not to punish but to guide broadcasters toward better performance. I’m glad to see the host and her team working together to improve that’s the true spirit of responsible broadcasting.”,he said
