Prominent Ugandan lawyer and politician Hon. Fred Mukasa Mbidde has taken a huge jab at the National Unity Platform (NUP), accusing the party of sidelining the public during its candidate selection process and giving those who were not deserving.
Speaking out to the public, Mukasa Mbidde, known for his sharp tongue and outspoken nature, likened the process to an exam release where candidates anxiously await results without any transparency.
“People were left in suspense, waiting for the results like students anxiously awaiting their O-Level exam results,” he remarked.
His criticism adds to growing debate about how political parties in Uganda handle internal democracy and public involvement, especially in the run-up to key elections.
