Renowned Ugandan singer Mansour Ssemanda, popularly known as King Saha, has reaffirmed his readiness to take charge of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) if the current president, Eddy Kenzo, is no longer interested in the role.
During a recent interview, the “Saala Puleesa” hitmaker spoke with passion and determination, expressing his continued commitment to fighting for artists’ rights and advocating for long-overdue reforms in the Ugandan music industry.

The King’s Love Entertainment boss, who once contested for the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) presidency two years ago before withdrawing, made it clear that his mission is not about seeking financial favors from the government. Instead, he emphasized the need for a Copyright Law and effective policies that protect musicians’ intellectual property.
“We need the copyright law and then start looking at policies and monitoring. I’m still available, and if they feel the burden, let them hand over the authority to me. I’ll go demand for it in the right way up to Parliament,” King Saha said .
The singer, who currently serves as the acting Vice President of UMA, vowed to take the battle for change straight to Parliament if necessary.
“I’m ready to leave my home in Nakawuka, put on my overall, and storm Parliament to demand the amendment of the copyright law on behalf of all artists. Those people see and hear us, but they don’t act. The law would benefit many people, and I’m still on that agenda,”King Saha declared.

King Saha’s bold remarks come at a time when debates over leadership and unity within Uganda’s music industry are heating up once again.
