Namyalo Hits Back at Critics Over Son’s Luxury Birthday Gift, Shares Bank Records to Prove Wealth

Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, head of the ruling party NRM’s Office of the National Chairman (ONC) and a key youth coordinator for President Museveni, has strongly defended herself against mounting criticism after gifting her 5-year-old son a luxury Jetour T1 vehicle on his birthday.

In a firm response, Namyalo dismissed critics, urging them to “stop ranting” and allow her to live freely. She contrasted what she described as “online jealousy” and wasteful lifestyles such as excessive drinking and lavish spending on women—with what she called responsible choices like philanthropy and long-term financial planning through insurance.

Amid the backlash, Namyalo took to her X (formerly Twitter) platform to publish 2022 bank statements from Centenary Bank, showing account balances frequently exceeding UGX 200 million.

The records also revealed large cash deposits—reportedly UGX 150M, 60M, and 35M—alongside regular withdrawals of around UGX 1M, which she says demonstrate her financial standing before joining the ONC office.

Her disclosures come in direct response to allegations by by one of PLU member Hon. Mwesigye Frank, who linked her recent display of wealth including a newly unveiled luxury home and the high-end car gift to alleged misuse of funds meant for 2026 election mobilization activities.

The revelations have triggered a wave of public debate, with many social media users demanding further accountability. Critics are calling for clear sources of the 2022 cash deposits, updated bank records and official tax returns.
