NPP’s Robert Kasibante Backs Bobi Wine, Promises to Clear Traders’ Loans if Elected

National Peasants Party (NPP) presidential candidate Robert Kasibante has thrown his support behind NUP leader Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, in the race for Uganda’s presidency.

While campaigning in Kampala Central and Rubaga Division, Kasibante pledged that if elected president in the forthcoming election , he would clear all outstanding bank and mobile money loans owed by traders operating in downtown Kampala.

Kasibante blamed high interest rates, heavy taxation, and poor infrastructure for pushing traders into crippling debt, saying the current system has made it nearly impossible for small business owners to survive.

He also praised youthful leadership, arguing that both he and Bobi Wine represent a new generation capable of fixing Uganda’s economic and governance challenges better than the current leadership.

According to Kasibante, empowering traders and supporting young leaders is key to restoring hope and economic stability in Uganda.
