The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has officially announced that the 2025 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results will be released this  Friday, 30 January 2026 at 11:00 a.m., setting the stage for a defining moment for more than 700,000 primary school candidates across the country.

The release marks a critical transition point as pupils prepare to move from primary to secondary education, with families, schools, and districts bracing for the outcome.

The announcement follows recent speculation that the results would be delayed, claims that were falsely linked to internet disruptions during Uganda’s January 2026 general elections.

The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) had earlier dismissed the rumours, insisting the marking and processing schedule remained on track.

Historically, about 75% of PLE candidates attain results in Divisions One to Three, determining placement into secondary schools nationwide. The stakes remain high for learners hoping to secure admission into top institutions.

All eyes now turn to 11:00 a.m. tomorrow, when the results will finally be unveiled. Stay tuned for more updates here.
