Runner Sarah Nambogo Allegedly Abducted at Kampala Club

Fear and panic spread across Kampala on Friday morning after a female runner, Sarah Nambogo, was allegedly abducted in broad daylight at Kampala Club.

In a statement, Fast & Furious Run Club said the incident happened at around 10:30am at the club’s southern gate. Sarah was meeting a colleague as they prepared for the Team Matooke end-of-year run, scheduled for December 13, 2025, at Kalanamo Great Outdoors.

Preliminary reports indicate that five people, including one woman, arrived in a silver Toyota Noah (UBP 791G) and forcefully took Sarah. Witnesses claim the suspects were armed with AK-47 rifles, sparking serious security concerns.

In a shocking turn, the suspects allegedly first entered the club premises and approached Sarah’s daughter, pretending to be coordinating a running event. The girl reportedly entered the vehicle, which later drove to the southern gate where Sarah was found and abducted.

Kampala Club management says CCTV footage has confirmed the vehicle’s registration number and captured images of some of the suspects.

Security agencies have been notified, and investigations are ongoing to establish the full details and trace Sarah’s whereabouts. The running club has appealed to the public to share any information that could aid the search.

“Our thoughts are with Sarah, her daughter, and the entire family during this very distressing time,” the statement read.

This is a developing story.
