Rwenzururu King Charles Weslely Mumbere, has embarked on a trip to Turkey for continued medical assessment with his team of international specialists .
The visit aims to evaluate the progress of the treatment he has been undergoing , coordinated in part by his local medical professionals.
His trip follows extensive discussions with the Uganda government .
Speaking to the journalists at Entebbe Airport over yesterday , the Omusinga disclosed that he has not been feeling well for some time.
“I haven’t been feeling well, so I am travelling to Turkey for a medical review”,he confirmed.
He also expressed his gratitude to president Museveni for the support and facilitating his medical trip abroad.
Mumbere is expected to return in time for his forthcoming coronation on November 14th at Nyakasanga Playground, Kasese
He urged all Banyarwenzururu to remain calm and not be misled by unverified social media reports regarding his travels or health.
He advised them to rely solely on official communication from the Royal Prime Minister’s Office for accurate information.
He further called upon all kingdom subjects, government agencies, community-based organizations (CBOs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), well-wishers, and the international community to actively support the Rwenzururu Kingdom’s upcoming events of Birthday run and coronation.
