National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Bobi Wine has spoken out after a tragic incident that followed his massive campaign rally in Iganga.
Bobi Wine claims security forces attacked supporters who were peacefully heading home, firing live bullets that killed Meshach Okello, who was reportedly shot in the head.
He also alleged more bodies may have been taken from the scene, though this is still being verified.

Several supporters were badly injured and are currently hospitalized, including:Nuwamanya Samuel (24),Naminya Banuli (44) and Faima Namusobya (24).
Bobi Wine condemned the violence, accusing the government of “crimes against humanity” and demanding justice.
However, police released a statement offering a different account. They said violence erupted when supporters allegedly threw stones at officers, injuring several security personnel and damaging police vehicles.
According to police, officers used crowd-control measures to disperse “rowdy groups,” during which one civilian died. Several suspects have since been arrested.

Police condemned the violence and warned that such acts will be dealt with firmly during the campaign period.
Bobi Wine resumes his campaign trail on Saturday, heading to Masaka as the presidential race heats up.
