The child was recovered on December 19, 2025, at around 9:30am, from Busukuma, Nansana Municipality in Wakiso District, following an intensive search operation.

According to preliminary findings, the incident occurred on December 12, 2025, at about 4:00pm in Ddungu Zone, Kawempe. The suspect, identified as Muchunguzi David, a shamba boy employed by Dr. Tumwesigye Emmanuel, reportedly left home with the child and failed to return.

A kidnapping case was immediately registered at Universal Police Post, prompting joint security teams to launch investigations and tracking operations. Authorities say crucial leads were obtained through the analysis of the suspect’s TikTok videos, which helped trace the child’s location.

The suspect is still on the run, and efforts to arrest him are ongoing.

Meanwhile, the child is set to undergo a medical examination before being safely reunited with his parents.

Security agencies say more updates will be issued as investigations continue.
