Ggaba Daycare Horror: Judge Cites “Terrorist Intent” as Evidence Mounts Against Christopher Okello

The High Court sitting in Ggaba has heard chilling details in the ongoing trial of Christopher Okello Onyum, accused of the brutal machete killing of four toddlers at Ggaba Daycare Centre on April 2, 2026.

Presiding over the case, Justice Alice Komuhangi Khaukha revealed that the attack lasted less than seven minutes and displayed what she described as “specialized beheading skills,” pointing to a level of execution that suggested clear intent and planning.

The judge further indicated that the nature of the attack reflects elements of terrorist intent, firmly dismissing any claims of insanity on the basis that the actions appeared deliberate and premeditated.

Okello, who faces four counts of murder, is being tried in a mobile High Court session held near the crime scene in the Kampala suburb of Ggaba.

Prosecutors have presented strong forensic evidence linking him to the crime, including DNA recovered from the murder weapon and clothing.

Investigators also revealed that his phone contained searches related to ISIS beheading videos and gun licensing prior to the attack factors the court says further undermine his defense.

The trial continues as the court examines the full scope of evidence in one of the most disturbing child murder cases in recent memory.
