In a move aimed at strengthening grassroots support, Hon. Eng. Jonard Asiimwe Akiiki, the NRM Vice Chairperson for the Western Region, has once again honored his pledge by donating a Bajaj motorcycle and UGX 10,000,000 in cash to a newlywed couple.
The beneficiaries are known supporters of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the National Resistance Movement (NRM). The donation was officially handed over as part of Asiimwe Akiiki’s ongoing efforts to connect directly with wananchi and support livelihoods at the community level.
Supporters say the gesture underscores Asiimwe Akiiki’s reputation for keeping his word and translating promises into action. The motorcycle is expected to boost the couple’s economic activity, while the cash support offers a financial cushion as they begin their new life together.
